TEADAL’s participation at BDVA Data Week 2023

From 13-15 June 2023, Big Data Value Association held its Data Week event at Lulea, Sweden. TEADAL was invited to participate in the session, Digital Technologies and Processes for Sustainable and Secure Data Management, Use and re-Use of Data, organized and hosted by the Data Spaces Support Center, whose community TEADAL has joined recently. In this session, 5 Horizon Europe projects were invited to participate, TEADAL, TRUSTEE, TANGO, Glaciation and MobiSpace, all of which contribute towards improving the efficiency and the use of trustworthy digital technologies to address the requirements of citizens, companies and administrations/public organizations in data spaces, across the data life cycle. In the panel each project presented means on managing personal, commercial and administrative confidentiality as well as approaches for fair and environmentally friendly data operations.
Detailed information on this session and the presentations can be found here.

On behalf of TEADAL, Dr. Sebastian Werner, Technical University Berlin, participated in this session. Dr. Wener leads the “Trustworthy data lakes federation” work package in TEADAL, which will propose novel technical approaches for trustworthy federations of stretched data lakes built upon blockchain technologies, such as smart contracts, zero-knowledge proofs, and secure oracles or employ trusted execution environments.
